DEDICATED INTERNET ACCESS (Frame Relay and ATM - T1, DS3, OC3)
Use high-quality Frame Relay and ATM circuits to connect directly to RECOL�s New Haven Internet POP to obtain extremely fast and reliable Internet access. You have the option of contracting with ATT for the local loop and have RECOL provide the Internet services (Internet port) or have RECOL provide both the Internet port and local loop (Internet Port + Loop). Internet bandwidth from 1.5 Mbps to 155 Mbps is available.

Wide Area Ethernet (OPT-E-MAN)
OPT-E-MAN is a switched Ethernet service that connects to the Internet with flexible bandwidth options from 5 Mbps to 1 Gbps. It provides a fully managed service that uses optical transport and builds on the strengths of Cisco equipment to provide a highly scalable optical service.
OPT-E-MAN service is available in two standard interfaces:
- 10/100 Mbps Base T - a copper handoff with a bandwidth limitation of 100 Mbps.
- 1 Gbps Ethernet (1000 Base SX, 1000 Base LX/LH or 1000 Base ZX) - a fiber handoff with a bandwidth limitation of 1 Gbps.
With OPT-E-MAN, you get:
- A 10/100Mbps or 1Gbps access link
- Committed Information Rate (CIR) options (5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500, & 1000Mbps)
- Repeater (if distance limitations require)
- High-speed Ethernet transport ranging from 5 Mbps to 1 Gbps
- The benefit of using Ethernet LAN packets that run over optical fiber to the Internet or your network.
- A Cisco powered network.
- Carrier class features (low latency, rate limiting, recovery and resiliency)

RECOL® DSL (128 Kbps to 6.0 Mbps)
RECOL offers high-speed ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) Internet Service in Connecticut. ADSL provides customers with a broadband Internet connection over regular phone lines. DSL bandwidth can range as high of 6 Mbps downstream and 768 Kbps upstream on a single DSL line.
RECOL presently offers DSL Internet throughout the entire ATT footprint in Connecticut. In contrast to other DSL providers, RECOL is continuing its aggressive ADSL rollout utilizing ATT remote terminals (RTs) to reduce line distance and dramatically improve performance. Plans are for deployment to continue until high-speed ADSL is available statewide in Connecticut.
RECOL DSL is designed to allow businesses and other organizations to take full advantage of high speed/low cost DSL technology by connecting their Local Area Networks (LAN) to the Internet. RECOL DSL is a true routed solution capable of supporting Internet hosts such as firewalls , VPN devices, mail servers, web and proxy servers. All RECOL DSL accounts offer the following:
- Static IP address
- Supports LAN (multiple computers) connection
- PPPoE or PPPoA protocol support
- Capability to route IP subnets
- Private networking option (for multiple DSL circuits)
- Dial-up backup option

DIAL-UP & ISDN
RECOL offers the entire range of dial-up PPP and ISDN Internet access solutions. Our Dial-up PPP accounts support both V.90 (56 Kbps) modems as well as the older V.34 (33.6 Kbps) standard. Multiple Analog and ISDN accounts include Multilink PPP capability for combining multiple phone lines or ISDN channels in order to attain connection speeds of up to 128 Kbps. Unlimited accounts are ideal for proxy or mail servers that require extremely frequent or full-time Internet connections. All RECOL dial-up or ISDN access accounts include a POP3 mail account. POP3 Group accounts are also available.
